Victorian Village
Victorian Village is an historic urban neighborhood just north of downtown Columbus. It is filled with grand Victorian era homes as well as many smaller vernacular style frame homes from the period spanning the late 1800’s to the 1920’s. During the past 20 years it has undergone a steady rejuvenation that has transformed it into one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city. Victorian Village’s proximity to Ohio State University, the Short North Arts District, the Arena District and downtown Columbus make it a desirable tourist destination as well as an excellent place to live. The neighborhood boasts the largest and oldest urban city park – Goodale Park offering tennis, a playground, picnic areas, and home to events like Comfest, the Columbus Gay Pride Festival and the Goodale Park Music Series.
Sidewalks on all streets make it a very pedestrian-friendly place to visit or live. Diversity is the name of the game in this thriving urban environment, where you will find students and professional, gays and straights, married and singles, families with children and those who are child-free. Whether you love old houses and are passionate about historic preservation or just want to be in a neighborhood where you can walk to everything – Victorian Village is a fantastic place to be.
